This article promotes the metric system in the U.S. and points out the 
shortcomings of what we use here in America.
When you are done click opinions and look for the poll on whether or not 
the U.S. should go metric.  Be sure to vote, and notice how the vote is 
going so far.  As of 2007-01-19 @ 02:30(UT), which is 2007-01-18 @ 20:30 
Chicago (Central Standard) Time the vote was 70% in favor of metric and 
30% against.
