Subway uses the metric system in metric countries, but it still regards Ireland as a non metric country, with subs in inch and foot. I was in Ireland last week. Metric goes well there but with this and a few other exceptions like the bedding, tile and carpet trades. They do the BWMA and the IAML proud. One can expect lunacies like 'Carpet 3 by 5 m @ ?13 per sq. yd'. Also in this category the Irish fast food chain Supermac with its drinks in fl. oz. Most selling of land and property is metric.
