Everyone in my workgroup specified torque levels for fasteners in inch pounds, inch ounces, etc., i.e., non-metric units. Since I design nearly all my parts hard-metric with metric fasteners wherever possible, I bought three nice adjustable torque wrenches calibrated in Newton meters to cover the range I need. Over the course of several months, all three have disappeared! Usually I get mad when people steal my tools, but in this case I'm kind of tickled to think that others must also be specifying torque in Newton meters. Perhaps some people were specifying non-metric torque in part to match the wrenches they had available.

I've also noticed that my 150, 300, and 500 mm metric-only steel rules (rulers) are so popular that I have twice had to order about ten at a time to make sure I always have one handy. The fractional inch rules aren't nearly as popular!
