Correct on both counts. I can't recall seeing departure and arrival
information in the US being in 24 hour time, either. Not that I've been to
every US airport, but I think it would be unusual to see it in use in the US.

On a slightly related note, one time I travelled, I arrived at Kennedy Airport
in NY from Los Angeles, just after midnight. I had requested a limo to be
there at 0020, on March 30. When I arrived there was no limo, so I called the
limo company. The dispatcher replied that my pickup was scheduled for
"tomorrow night on March 30th". I said "March 30th started twenty minutes
ago.", and her completely serious reply was "Oh, we don't do it that way."

Sorry, for digressing, but there hasn't been much other postings today, anyway.
