Subject: Measurement in the Prius

I have a 2005 Prius and while I love the vehicle in most ways, I find
the forced use of US customary units (also called imperial or English
units) frustrating. I strongly prefer the use of metric as it's far
simpler to use and would like to get information from my vehicle in
metric.
Despite the availability of metric for temperature, fuel efficiency and
other measurements in other countries, there doesn't seem to be a way to
get a car built for the US market (i.e. my car) to give me information
other than speed in metric. I've asked my dealer and they say they don't
know of a way to get it to use metric and can't do a software upgrade to
a version that uses metric measures.
Are there currently any plans to allow for Prius' built for the US
market to display the following using metric measures?
* ODO/Trip info
* Outside temperature
* Climate control temperature setting
* fuel efficiency
If not, could you please add allowing owners to select between metric/US
customary as a system wide option to the list of features for future
models?
