Thank you for contacting Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc.
We apologize for your concerns with the lack of an available switch on Toyota vehicles to allow the outside temperature gauge to display both Fahrenheit and Celsius.

For the 2007 model year, the Solara, FJ Cruiser, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma and Tundra have the capability to switch between English and Metric units.

We make every effort to manufacture a quality product by researching, testing, and constantly monitoring performance. Consumer opinion and perception also play an active role in our ongoing efforts to lead the automobile industry in quality, innovation, styling, and reliability.

It is through communications such as yours that we become aware of the reactions and expectations of our customers.

Your email has been documented at our National Headquarters under file #200703291243. If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact us.

I'm looking for a new car but all your cars have displays that give Fahrenheit only, why does Toyota assume everyone wants Fahrenheit? This is a free country, Federal Law states that the metric system is the preferred system for the US, why can't Toyota make a vehicle where I can get metric units at the flip of a switch as is done in GM vehicles?
