It pays to tell manufacturers that we use the metric system, this reply from Jenn Air was positive. Writing does make a difference.

I applaud JennAir for including metric dimensions. However for those of us that use the metric system, it would be more helpful to use millimeters, you end up with a whole number, no decimal places. It would also be useful for whoever writes these instructions to look up the word Nominal. 2" (5.08 cm) should really be 50 mm who cares about the 0.8 mm, a dime is about 1 mm thick. On the dimensions is it really 22" or should I get out my micrometer and find it's really 22.003". Come on lets get real. 3" could be 75 mm, 4" = 100 mm, etc.

This applies to the Radiant Downdraft Cooktop JED8430 but could equally apply to all your products.
