I have noticed that too. Several weekends ago, I went zip-lining in Whistler, BC. I found it most interesting that their website lists zip-line lengths in feet, height above the creek in feet, but traverse speed in km/h . (See http://www.ziptrek.com/joomla/content/ category/5/40/207/ )
