I visited a country market near Penn Yan NY and one vender sells items made with yard sticks and meter sticks. He actually sells them by the bundle. I bought about 50 of them for $5 a few years ago and he still had some. Not sure what his sources is and he sells them for craft projects (shameful waste of meter sticks).
