Not at all. Firstly, the Channel Tunnel was completed 13 years ago and the trains have been using Waterloo International Station (part of Waterloo Station). What has happened is that the new high speed 186 mph [sic - they really mean 300 km/h] track has been completed and that the service will be moving to St Pancras station.
I use Waterloo Station every day. The entrance to Waterloo International is down an escalator where they have their own concourse.
