This was actually about making Washington taxicabs change from a zonal fare
system to using taxicab meters (like every other city) to calculate the
fare.  This was actually a story a day or two ago; go to the web site and
search on "taxicabs" to find it.  Unfortunately it's not the meters we are
used to, but seeing the one-liner on my cell phone was rather interesting.
