Forget decimal time. So many SI measurements depend on the second as it
is currently defined.
On a different note has anyone seen a speedometer that reads meters /
sec? I often joked in 1989 that the speed limit signs were more
interesting if they where meant to be interpreted as m/s rather than
mph. 35 wold be more challenging in m/s.

Of course, if we had a decimal time system we could have both. BTW, if
anybody out there is a teacher of physics, one topic for an essay would be
"Discuss the implications of the introduction of a time system based on
100,000 seconds per day rather than 86,400 seconds in a day". A good topic
