Here in the Washington, DC area Monday is the day for liquor store ads in the 
paper, so I did a little survey this morning.

Everyone advertises in metric only, except for one small group calling itself 
the "Cork Club" which slips "59.2 oz" in tiny print on a couple of the 1.5 L 
ads.  Beer of course is shown as "12 oz" because of the long-standing failure 
of that part of the government to fix that.

Sounds like you've got a recalcitrant, ornery store owner up there.
