Seattle Coffee and Subway - sound like two American companies that market
their products in colonial units here, and want to keep their marketing
consistent worldwide so they do it everywhere - or try to. There's not a
small amount of arrogance in that.

I've been in South Africa for a few weeks on vacation, went into a Seattle
Coffee house in Cape Town and they list the sizes in "oz". Small, Medium and

Large as 8, 12 & 16 oz on an information board. I saw two of these in the
one shop, I asked the server how many milliliters? He had no idea. Not sure
any South African would have understood any of this "oz" stuff the place is
very metric. Diet Coke has "less than 1 kilojoule" on the can. A dru white
wine box had "low in kilojoules" on the box.
