Mr. Preuss:
Please excuse my careless (and embarrassing) slip in my previous
email. Reading the phrase "half a ten billionth of a metre" but
concentrating on the phrase "ten billionth of a metre", I began
referring to a value of "a ten billionth of a metre" rather than the
correct value "HALF a ten billionth of a metre", which was the value
being discussed.
Therefore, my reference to the half angstrom as being "0.1 nanometres"
should have read "0.05 nanometres". Also a later reference to it as
"100 picometres" should have been "50 picometres".
With this correction, it would seem that maybe picometres would have
been even more appropriate to use than nanometres.
My apologies for the error.
