The Sun appears to have been the only national paper to have reported the
case.

US Readers should be aware that the national press is well established in
the United Kingdom - "Quality" papers like The Financial Times, The Times,
The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Independent and "Popular" papers such
as The Daily Express, The Daily Mail, The Sun and The Daily Mirror are
available across the country, though the editions that are sold in the North
of England, in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland might have slight
differences. These papers carry considerably more weight than do regional
or local newspapers.

Here's a news item about Janet Devers latest court appearance. Not much
there, and the characterization of the role of the EU and the role of
Imperial measures is quite distorted, to boot!
