The preferences of residents of the state of New York carry the most weight with that state's government. New York state government is for New Yorkers first. If there are any more residents of New York State who have subscribed recently to this list, or if any present USMA listserver subscribers have moved to New York State, or know New Yorkers who support the goal of U.S. metrication, I urge you them to contact the following officials regarding the UPLR issue. Let these officials that you favor New York State adoption of the metric-only product labeling option as stated in NIST Handbook 130. Remind them that all U.S. states and territories except New York and Alabama have already adopted this labeling option. The contact information is as follows:
