Indeed it is. NIST SP 330-2008 is not up on the web at http://physics.nist.gov/Pubs/contents.html just yet, but it should be soon. I like the new cover! The Foreword also states that the Secretary of Commerce "Interpretation" of 1998 will be likewise updated and published in the Federal Register in 2008.

Ambler tells me that SP 811 is written and being processed now. It should be published in time for the IEEE SCC 14 meeting on April 18. At that meeting we will also discuss the current revision in progress for IEEE/ASTM SI 10.

SP330 is complete and we are doing the final edit on SP811. I'm hoping we will have documents posted and printed this month. Printing will be done in house.

Ambler,

Yes, indeed, the tables for converting units from non-SI to SI are in SP 811. My error was citing SP 330 which is the official translation of the BIPM Brochure on SI to the American version of the English language.

Thanks for your correction.

How is the new edition of SP 811 progressing?

Can you now give us an expected Internet posting date, and a date for printing on paper?

Eugene (Gene) Mechtly.
