The odometer has no m/s marking either, as it doesn't measure speed. (Can I
assume that was simply a brain fart?)  ;)

Not really, since unlike the odometer, the speedometer has no m/s marking.

 

100 m intervals make a lot of sense for distance and I see it overseas all
the time....
