I am in the process of trying to get Gov. Crist of Florida to issue a
proclamation promoting National Metric Week Oct. 5-11.
I have the text of proclamations I used to get from the governor of
Virginia when I lived in that state but not all of it is appropriate
for the wording of a Florida proclamation (references to "native son
Thomas Jefferson" and the like).
If any of you have favorite paragraphs or phrases from your own
state's proclamations, I would appreciate getting your suggestions.
Does anyone know if someone else in Florida is also doing this? I'd
hate to duplicate the efforts of someone who is already on the job.
