I was surprised to see that a forward-looking company like Pixar missed a big chance to show a more realistic vision of the future in their new movie WALL-E. The story takes place hundreds of years from now, where a consumerist humanity grows lazy on space cruise liners while the Earth they polluted and trashed is being cleaned up by robots. At a few points in the movie, ambient temperature is either mentioned or displayed. All in Fahrenheit. Too bad.
