Yes, here in Sun Valley, ID, there is the Harriman Trail, 32 km from Galena Lodge to the US Forest Service visitor center, about 15 min drive north of the town of Ketchum. There are concrete markers every km, installed about 10 years ago at my behest (with financial incentive from me and many others). They did put mile equivalents in small print below the km marks. These are metal plaques about 10 x 20 cm mounted on the concrete standards. Each plaque has a name of the donor who sponsored and paid for it, eg, Joe and Jane Palooka, In Memory of Dog Brutus, etc.

During the Boulder Mountain Tour 32 km cross country ski race each February, each km is marked with a blue sign attached to a tall pole lashed to each concrete marker.
