Well, it was supposed to have been 2010, not 2011, and I didn't want to get 
into the EU thing in my response, because I wanted to concentrate on the U.S. 
position. I added that I have not heard any Obama representative say anything 
about metric. If I did, I would certainly quote the exact reference and 
context.

  The comments by "Safiel" in the Hannity forum are interesting, but I'm not 
sure about some of his facts.  Didn't the EU drop the 2011 metric-only labeling 
requirement some time back?  

  He also says that there are "many metric enthusiasts in the Obama 
administration, including Obama himself".  Does anyone know of any statements 
by Obama on this subject?  Or by any of his appointees?
