Brian, if you are referring to the political bend of those forums, then you are 
giving me the chance to reiterate the following.

Metrication is a non-partisan national goal.  All people, no matter which side 
of the aisle they occupy and no matter what color state they live in on the 
ideological map, measure things.  Genuine metrication wil be a truly national 
project, affecting every citizen and every institution the citizen uses.  Those 
of us who support U.S. metrication should address it anywhere it is discussed. 
It is all the more important to do this right now, because the silence on 
metric is deafening. The more venues we have for metrication discussion, the 
better our chances for bringing it out to water-cooler talk.
