Between 1974 and 1976 I studied English at the university of Nijmegen, then I switched to History. I remember that I used 'degrees Celsius', but that was an error; it had to be degrees Centigrade. Times have changed at least, Celsius is now the correct form. ----- Original Message ----- From: Paul Trusten To: U.S. Metric Association Sent: Sunday, 2009, February 15 7:34 Subject: [USMA:43008] "centigrade" deprecated? You'd never know it.
Try Googling "centigrade." Although some sites explain correctly that the term has been discontinued in favor of Celsius, the old, incorrect term is still widely used. Paul Trusten, R.Ph.
