To be honest, the auto companies are not known for their even-handed supplier 
relations.

"You will, or my next supplier will" is the common way of dealing with ANY 
supplier reluctance.  I can assure you I've said it.

We defeat conversion or acceptance of english units  in our CAD equipment.  It 
is only possible to draw a metric drawing, including an imported drawing from a 
supplier.  If they submit an english drawing, they have to convert it.
