John In my local supermarket, the "US" brands available are "Haagen Daas" & "Ben & Jerry's". I doubt that the ice-cream originates from America, though. I believe that our Haagen Daas is manufactured in France and the Ben & Jerry's in the UK. In common with the vast majority of products sold in the UK, imperial measure is not marked. Both products are dual-marked though - in both grammes & millilitres. Both products are sold in 500 ml tubs. In addition, Haagen Dass is marked as 430 g and Ben & Jerry's as 420 g. The rest of the "UK" icecreams are sold in 500 ml, 1 litre & 2 litre containers. Icecream bars are sold in non-rounded metric (ie 6 choc-ices marked as "6 x 70 ml" or Mars ice-cream bars marked as "6 x 51 ml") I didn't see any supplemental imperial indications or any evidence whatsoever of odd metric sizes relating to customary/imperial measure.
