This is a question I posted by e-mail at the White House under Policies: "When will President Obama issue his own Executive Order directing Departments of the Executive Branch to use SI(metric) units of measurement in all activities of the Federal Government with only extremely difficult and rare exceptions or waivers?"
I intended "Departments" to include Federal administrations and agencies such as the EIA, ITA, and NASA. I'm thinking of asking the same basic question again to include explicitly administrations, agencies, and commissions as well. e.g. the Federal Trade Commission. >Eugene (Gene) Mechtly.
