Hi Pat: >I just found a bit of useless comparison information that might interest you.
However little Wright Brothers flew, they THEN left a mark in HISTORY, that we cherish today! What is the source of this information? Tomorrow June 16th =MJD 2455000! Wright brothers In 1903 the Wright bothers bi-pane travelled 40 metres. If we compare this distance to the size of a modern Boeing 747 with a wing span of 60 metres and a length of 70 metres the Wright brothers could have taken off on one Boeing 747 wing and landed on the other. In another view the Wright brothers flight could have taken place entirely inside the Jumbo jet; if it took off from the tail it would have been 30 m away from the nose when it landed.
