Thank you very much, Dave! That is great news.

Actually, it is long overdue that default units on Global RPh, or any dosing
calculators anywhere, be solely metric. I don't think it is a matter of keeping
anyone happy. I think it is a matter of using one standard of measurement in
healthcare. The risk of confusing systems of measurement, especially when it
comes to calculating doses for anticoagulants and cytotoxic drugs, is much too
great. The Joint Commission has recently suggested that all pediatric patients
be weighed in kilograms only. They stopped short. I believe that patients of
all ages should be weighed in kilograms only, their heights measured in
centimeters only, and non-metric units banished from the healthcare culture.

Thank you for listening.

        Hello Paul,

In the past I tried to keep everyone happy.... however, I think its time
to have default metric selections. It will probably be some time next
week before these changes are made.

        Thank you for the suggestion....

        Dave

comments: On your calculators, please consider setting your Web sites
default units for patient height to centimeters instead of inches. Your default
units for weight are in kilograms. Only metric units should be used for patient
parameters.
