You'd think that they could at least use a dual ruler.  However, given that 
cord is soft, some of those are so close it would be hard to measure with 
calipers; {1.2 mm, 1.4mm},  {2.2 mm, 2.4 mm}, {3.6 mm, 3.8 mm, 4.0 mm}
