One of those "while taking a shower" moments ... It occurs to me to wonder where the FMI was when the original legislation (in the FPLA, I presume) was passed requiring metric units to appear on packaging. Did they not know about or care about this when it was proposed and passed?
Is there any effort to organize and get lobbying support from manufacturers (like the NMA) in support of metric-only labeling as a way of counter-acting FMI's lobbying? Also, anything new going on with respect to New York's adoption of the model UPLR (or at least the metric-only provision)? thanks! Ezra
