Gregory Washington, Dean, Engineering, Ohio State University

Dear Dean Washington,

As I read your editorial in News in Engineering, Vol. 81 N0. 3, 2009
about the global economy, I have to ask
Is all teaching of engineering at OSU done
with only SI units, that is to ask, are there
                any inch-pound units still used?

The whole engineering world, except the US, is SI metric.
How about OSU engineering?

Please tell me (and USMA) which courses at OSU, by number and title,
use any inch-pound units. In this list of courses, please tell me
why non SI units are used.

I hope you have some good news for us. Thanks.

                        Robert H. Bushnell PhD PE
