I was about to say - those pages (like for instance hotmail borders) tend to have random adverts most of which intelligently work out where you are and show appropriate ads. I guess you were noting a company showing screen sizes in 'cm' (whereas most european ads will show inches, even in "non-metric" [so to speak] countries).
