Dear All,
Chip and Dan Heath have just released a new book about how to plan
and achieve change.
It is called, 'Switch' and the subtitle reads, 'How to change things
when change is hard'.
Here is a blurb from the cover http://www.randomhouse.com/catalog/display.pperl/9780385528757.html

I have now investigated the idea of 'How to change things when change
is hard' in detail, and as I did this I rediscovered the work of John
P. Kotter from Harvard Business School who has possibly done more
research on how things change – and more importantly how to change
things – than anyone else I know.
As a result I have just re-read the delightful parable about penguins
in Antarctica called 'Our Iceberg is Melting'. In less than three
hours I reacquainted myself with Kotter's 'The Eight Step Process of
Successful Change'. See http://www.theheartofchange.com for an
excellent summary.
It seems to me that any Metrication Leader planning to implement an
upgrade to the metric system would be well advised to consider not
only the thoughts of Chip and Dan Heath, but also those of John P.
Kotter. Combining these two substantial thinkers about 'How to change
things when change is hard' can only benefit your metrication plans.
Here are some references to get you started on John Kotter's thoughts
about the process of change:
