Funnily enough - I don't get those emails ;-)
I wonder why he still thinks that ordinary, moderate pro-metric folk would somehow be interested in his message (and ideas of an all out measurement war- lol)? And why he claims to be from anywhere except Ohio? Most email apps have a facility to trap junk mail - this feature moves anything sent by him to the junk folder. Trouble is - we all still go to the junk folder to make sure nothing important slips through. Some email apps allow you to create a sort of 'macro' that deals with 'sepecific' mails in such a way that the email goes straight to the junk box. To Stephen Davies - you can 'tune' your email app to prevent these things from happening with some of the examples above. I realise you have also had issues recently getting your postings to the list serve, Stephen, so I personally emailed you regarding the point that you missed regarding 'thou's' in a previous post. Hopefully you are now receiving, and able to send, all the messages correctly (must have been your ISP at fault). Hopefully you didn't see my email as 'unsolicited' especially after the many emails you have sent me in the past! ;-) brianW - are you saying you haven't been swayed by his argument yet? ;-) Carleton - how many emails has 'Daniel' sent you? Same guy......all from cox.net. kilopascal, Daniel Jackson, Ametrica, Euric, John. He's been sending me stuff too. Guy claims he's from West Virginia but won't come clean any more than that. -------- Original Message -------- Subject: [USMA:47163] Problems! From: "Stephen Davis" <[email protected]> Date: Sun, April 18, 2010 2:56 pm To: "U.S. Metric Association" <[email protected]> I'm afraid there is a certain person on this listserver (you know who you are) who I've already told once a little while ago to stop sending me unsolicited and unwanted emails. If that person doesn't desist from doing this, I'm afraid I'm going to put in a complaint about this person or tell everybody on this list who he is. I do hope I've made myself clear on this matter! Cut it out, OK? _________________________________________________________________ http://clk.atdmt.com/UKM/go/197222280/direct/01/ Do you have a story that started on Hotmail? Tell us now
