Roman numeral have another use. Some computer departments require that you change your password at regular intervals and have rules that prevent you from tagging "01", "02" etc to your password - normally based on a minimum number of characters having to change if the the length of the password does not change. Now, if you tagged "I", "II", "III", "IV" etc instead of "01", "02", "03", "04" etc to your chosen password, the length will change every time.
