This person is confused. Rationally he prefers the metric system, but
emotionally he likes to say he dislikes it when he writes:
(Don't even get me started on the big metric system push. Is
it /kilommitters/ or /killo-meeters?/ I still don't know. I use it when
I build furniture because it's easier, but I don't have to like it.)
From reading the blog I would put it down to the writer being terrified
of not appearing 'cool'. The fact that he uses the metric system and
that he recognizes it has being easier to use is actually a win. Once
more people use it, perhaps he will realize it isn't as uncool as he thinks.
