Dear Stan,

I once attended a training session for building trades workers as one of the session speakers for a minor afternoon session. The organisers had obtained the services of a mathematics professor to do a keynote speech on the 'metric system'. His presentation was so rarefied that I could not understand most of it. However, I recall this conversation between two attendees as they left the hall after the professor's lecture.

Tradesman 1: 'What's a decimal?'

Tradesman 2: 'Yeah, and what's the point?'

Cheers,
