He has used the list-serve in the past as many different names - each one (ie each identity) got caught in the moderation loop (insults, spamming, stuff about "dollar collapse", that sort of thing).
Unfortunately on the 'free' email side you are you're own moderator and it is up to you to enable filtering (as you say below) or add a custom filter. Apologies for the lack of measurement stuff, moderator, but this is a comment on the post below (in case people are unaware of why they get these private emails) Date: Thu, 10 Jun 2010 08:22:24 -0400 Subject: [USMA:47635] Re: Opponents of Metrication From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Hmm, you aren't even a member of the list-serve at all. You collect e-mail addresses to e-mail members of the list-serve bypassing any moderation at all...except our private e-mail filters. It would be a way to increase funding for the USMA and even if an opponent were to pay just to post opposing views, at least the USMA would benefit from his/her financial support. The only problem with this is that USMA list server members would cry foul. Of course, I'll bet those that do are really opponents in disguise. Not all opponents will openly oppose metrication, but will allow one to do just that and they will silently support him.
