Think I'll print it out as well and send it to my Representatives. It's very
well written and shows some of the many ways we waste time and money on the
present system.

I've often thought about everyone out there who wastes money and buys inch
wrenches to work on cars and whatever when none are necessary because it's all
metric. Even Harley Davidson converted to metric. My John Deere lawn tractor
(1990 model) is all metric apart from the transmission which I managed to work
on without any inch size wrenches or sockets. It's a real mess out there, think
of the time people spend looking for the correct fractional inch wrench when
it's all metric, and the amount of time I wasted looking for the correct metric
wrench when it was fractional inch on a supposedly metric lawn tractor!

Letters to the editor probably don't publish the subscriber's email address
for privacy reasons. You might try contacting that paper to see if they'll
release it or if they'll forward your response to him. There is contact info
under "About > Contact us" at the top of the page.

It's a nice piece and I found myself wishing it was a syndicated column. I
want to print it and send it to my representatives.
