Some hair cut professionals using Celsius - you're right, Britain is 
extraordinarily metric! :-)
Interesting subject though - it's still true to say that the UK is probably the 
only country in the world where Fahrenheit makes an appearance in the 
summertime.  On weather forecasts you'll usually hear (but not always) '28 
Celsius that's a heady 82 Fahrenheit' however in the winter you're much less 
likely to hear '10 Celsius that's 50 Fahrenheit' - that's not to say it does 
not happen (local radio tends to quote both).  Sian Lloyd - a well known Welsh 
TV forecaster always uses both scales.
Back to the hairdresser/ barber / stylist (whatever you call them!) whenever 
the young ladies or young gents or young 'something in betweens' talk about how 
much to cut off they will use inches as a matter of course.  Of course - this 
does not necessarily make the UK an 'imperial country' ;-)
