It is amazing that there are some people who just don't get it. What do these
people expect would be the result if America adopts a post-imperial system?
Who
of importance outside the US would adopt such nonsense?

When you consider how much the metric world has changed economically only in
recent times, at the expense of the non-metric holdouts, it doesn't take a
genius to understand that the world is going to stick with the system that is
making them prosperous and ignore any attempts by the nation in decline to get
them to change to a re-packaged imperial.

I'm sure with a 20% + unemployment rate affecting Americans there is a lot of
idle time for many people to dream up the type of nonsense proposed in the
article. It would be more practical if the individuals involved were to
promote
SI in America and associate it with job creation. No SI; No jobs. That simple.

You don't ever read about people in the nations where the metric system is
used,
appreciated and accepted, trying to come up with a new measurement system to
replace SI. It is only happening in the country that failed to adopt SI and is
seeing that failure translate into a lower living standard. Shouldn't that
tell
you something?
