2011 February 8
John Kline, Chairman, In the Feb 10 meeting by sure that changing away
from inch-pound measures to metric SI measures gets a lot of attention.
Failure to get rid of inch-pound units costs the US economy some one
trillion dollars each year. Is this too small to get the attention of
Congress? It costs US students about one year of math study (in the
K-12 years). The US is now way behind the rest of the world in STEM
learning. The meeting can make a difference.
