The Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf carried an article about a Samsung product with 7 and 10.1 inch screens. That 10.1 inch size is absurd. If I had to choose an inch size, I would go for 10 inches exactly.
I sent a response and it was accepted and placed: Shouldn't we at last stop with these ridiculous inches? We use the metric system and thus we do not need USC units. 10.1 inches is meaningless to me and I want such information in metric units. I have never understood why the electronic industry has been boxing us about the ears for year after year with the medieval unit inch and is still at it. This is the original response in the Dutch language: De Telegraaf, zaterdag 5 maart 2011: Zou het niet eindelijk tijd worden om op te houden met die belachelijke inches? Wij gebruiken het metrieke stelsel en hebben geen Amerikaanse eenheden nodig. 10.1 inch zegt mij niets en ik wil dergelijke informatie in metrieke maat.
