Tim Williamson was scheduled to meet Friday with leaders in Alabama on updating
Alabama state laws on legal measurement standards in Alabama.

Is adoption of the Uniform Packaging and Labeling Regulation now a prospect?

Who in New York state is working on this same objective so that all US states
can accept metric-only packaging and labeling of products under their
jurisdictions?

Persuading the two presently reluctant states, Alabama and New York, to accept
the UPLR should not be light-years out of reach.

The next step would be to amend the FPLA to permit metric-only labeling
legally, beyond the present actual fact of metric-only labeling in many cases.
