"... the fact that shelf edge imperial still exists and is printed in most
stores - strangely missed out down there!!"

I shop at a Morrison's supermarket almost every day and not once have I noticed
any "shelf edge imperial".

Every shelf (and just about every item) has metric measurements ONLY on them.

Mr Humphrey's knows this full well. Don't hold your breath waiting for
evidence to the contrary from him, though. He's quite fond of making these
claims, but, strangely enough, never presents any sort of proof whatsoever.

He's a troll anyway, and best ignored really!

Well, not a fact at all, but wishful thinking and knowing you might not wish
to verify his hope would be that you have no alternative but to believe him.
Well, don't! Here are a few links to some UK "shelf edge talkers". I'm sure
you can judge for yourself just how much imperial is marked. Let the facts
speak for themselves:

You may wish to ask Stephen yourself if he can provide some proof of his
claim. Odds are he won't because he can't.

Just to remind you Pat that Stephen diverted over to this topic to distract
you away from the painful truth that his pub pint is served in a 570 mL glass
and not 20 ounce as he would like you and everyone else to believe. These same
570 mL glasses are available in Australia. Get some and examine them for
yourself.
