So sorry to hear about Pat's death. He was a great advocate for the metric system and we will miss him greatly. Like some of you here, I did have a chance to meet Pat a few years back. He gave a talk at The University of Toronto, and I chatted with him afterwards. His energy and his enthusiasm for the metrication in the US were remarkable.
