But have we really progressed at all?  45 years ago, Benson and Hedges 
introduced their 100 mm long cigarette. I was living in Canada at the time and 
remember the TV ads. The cigarettes were even called B&H 100s, and were 
described as being 100 mm long in the ads (I am assuming the same ads were used 
in the US – this was long before Canada went metric). The ads were accompanied 
by the tune The Disadvantages of You.

Saw a new ad for an eyelash thing (not sure what they are called since I don’t 
personally use them). The ad says it will add 4 mm to the length of your 
eyelashes. The 4 mm was very prominent.
