The market for tapes has lots of Customary-only and lots of dual-unit tapes. Metric-only is hard to find in stores. You can find some on eBay.

I'm more likely to get workers from Mexico than Poland. There are lots of Hispanics here, many are from Mexico, and many of them work in construction. Maybe I'll get workers who know metric, but don't have a metric measuring tape. I have a long tape (50 m) and a short tape (7.5 m), also one whose retractor switch is broken. That's all I have for construction tapes. If they go through their normal methods of buying tapes, how likely is it that they will find metric tapes?
